Founders publish paper in Journal of Investigative Dermatology - Innovations

Luminoma's scientific founders, Michel Nieuwoudt and Cather Simpson, have published the clinical study they performed through the University of Auckland in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology.

Preliminary measurements in the clinic demonstrated a specificity of 50% at a sensitivity of 100%

The founders aimed to demonstrate the exquisite sensitivity of their prototype LumAssure Raman device by aiming to "never miss a melanoma". At a sensitivity threshold of 100%, the prototype showed higher specificity than any other existing solution. This demonstrates the potential of our Raman device before Luminoma optimises its performance further.
